Overwhelming local support as huge plans for Caernarfon's Ferodo and Plas Brereton sites revealed

Yesterday evening Maybrook Group held a public event at Galeri in Caernarfon to show people some of the early proposals for ‘Parc Gwel y Fenai’ and to get feedback.

This included potential site layouts for both locations and the type of lodges they were looking to use – working in conjunction with Dewis Architecture and Cadnant Planning.

They said the project will cost in the region of £60m and would create hundreds of jobs in the construction phase and once open, as well as attract additional visitors to the area.

Books for Schools

Following the acquisition of the Book People site we have been privileged to be able to provide 1000s of books to local schools and community groups. It’s been a real pleasure to receive messages of thanks from schools, parents and most of all the children..

“thank you so much once again for thinking of me and letting me take so many books for our lovely students. I wish you could have seen their faces when they were looking through them, it made your heart melt. The staff have been in awe too and we cannot wait to get as many students reading as possible. Some students have even taken a few to read over the Christmas break. We are more than willing to write a lovely email thanking for the books and send a picture of the reading corner once I have the book unit and have displayed the books nice 😊. SAFETY CAMPAIGN AT APPLEY BRIDGE EAST QUARRY

Setting aside the anti-social behaviour and unpleasantness brought to the village by the quarry visitors the biggest concern is safety.
We are working with the local emergency services, businesses and schools and the community to eliminate the risks to our young people.
